Dr. Sinem YILDIRIM

DEPUTY HEAD OF LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE DEPARTMENT

She was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1992. After her education at Serhatköy Primary School, she continued her secondary education at Şehit Turgut Secondary School, then high school education at Güzelyurt Kurtuluş High School, and completed her high school education in 2010. Then, after graduating from Near East University Landscape Architecture Department undergraduate education in 2015, she completed her master's degree in the Landscape Architecture Department of the Institute of Science and Technology at the same school in 2018. Without interrupting her education, Sinem Yıldırım started her doctoral education on "Green Roofs" at the Near East University in 2018, in the Department of Architecture, and completed her doctorate in 2023 and received the title of "Doctor". In addition to her education life, she started her professional life as a Research Assistant at Near East University, Department of Landscape Architecture in 2015, and currently continues her academic career both as a Lecturer and as the Deputy Head of the Department. Basic design, technical drawing, perspective, computer-aided design, landscape construction and materials, history of landscape architecture and model making, etc. She conducts courses on topics such as. Yıldırım, who is also a member of the Chamber of Landscape Architects in the Union of Chambers of Turkish Cypriot Engineers and Architects, also serves as a Landscape Architect in different institutions. She has academic studies published in international and national journals, conferences and symposiums.
