Assoc. Prof. Dr. Buket ASİLSOY

VICE DEAN OF FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE 

She was born in 1977 in Cyprus. After graduating from Çayırova Primary School, she completed her secondary and high school education in Famagusta Turkish Maarif College in 1994. After graduating from Istanbul University, Faculty of Forestry, Department of Landscape Architecture in 1998, she completed her master's degree at Istanbul Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of City and Regional Planning, Department of Landscape Planning in 2000. Since 1999, she has provided landscape project consultancy and implementation services in different institutions as a landscape architect.

In 2015, she completed her doctorate studies at the Eastern Mediterranean University, Faculty of Architecture. Buket Asilsoy has been a lecturer at Near East University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Landscape Architecture since the spring semester of 2010-2011. She was appointed as an assistant professor in 2016 and as an associate professor in 2019. S

tarting from the 2021-2022 fall semester, she started to work as the Deputy Dean at the newly established Near East University Faculty of Agriculture. She gives lectures on landscape projects (housing gardens, public green spaces and public housing green areas, etc.), urban landscape planning, history of landscape architecture, history of urban planning. She has academic studies published in international and national journals, conferences and symposiums. She also worked as the head of KTMMOB Chamber of Landscape Architects in the 2014-16 and 2016-18 working periods.
