World Food Day Event

In a collaborative effort, the Near East University Faculty of Agriculture and Ankara University Food Engineering Department orchestrated a meaningful World Food Day Event that was also accessible to the local community. This collaborative initiative addressed pressing issues such as food security, sustainability, and the effects of pandemics and wars on food situations in the EU and Turkey. Participants, including members of the local community, gained valuable insights into food safety and sustainability, making the event a significant platform for industry experts to share their perspectives.

The event titled “World Food Security,” hosted by Near East University, brought together faculty members from the Near East University Faculty of Agriculture and Prof. Dr. Nevzat Artık from Ankara University’s Food Engineering Department. The online World Food Day Event focused on crucial topics, including Food Safety, Food Security and Sustainability, Food Supply Security, and the impact of Pandemics and war-related situations in the EU and Turkey.

Aligned with the goals of eliminating hunger and promoting sustainable agriculture, the event served as a catalyst for advancing discussions and promoting understanding in these critical fields.
