As the Department of Landscape Architecture at the Faculty of Agriculture, we participated in the ‘Re-Greening Cyprus’ tree planting event held nationwide on April 1, 2026. Aware that afforestation is a crucial step in preventing global warming and climate change, both in urban and rural landscape planning, our faculty members and students contributed to planting trees. This event, spearheaded by the Presidency and carried out in collaboration with municipalities, the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the Forestry Department, and schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, was completed simultaneously in 27 different regions belonging to 18 municipalities across the country.
