Prof. Dr. Salih Gücel attended the beekeeping conference and meeting held in the Czech Republic from November 15-17, 2025. Approximately 80 experts attended the meeting, organized in collaboration with the Czech Beekeepers Association and the Extension Beekeepers Working Group at the Knowledge Castle, an interactive science museum at Palacký University’s Faculty of Natural Sciences. Roman Chvátal, representing the event organizers, said, “Our goal is to bring the fascinating world of bees and beekeeping closer to the general public, particularly through practical experiences. For example, we will demonstrate the functioning of frames or the basics of laboratory work. These activities will introduce visitors to the world of research activities in the field of bee conservation and help them understand the current challenges of caring for the environment around us.” During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Salih Gücel also had the opportunity to meet and exchange information with Jiří Danihlík, the national coordinator of the COLOSS project.
This meeting is aligned with SDG 2, SDG 12, and SDG 15.
