Prof. Dr. Özge Özden, Assoc. Dr. Can Kara, together with Nuhcan Akçit from the Ankara Campus of METU, presented a paper at the “Environment and Health for Healthier Urban Living” conference in Spain. The conference was held in Barcelona between November 5-7, 2024. Nuhcan Akçit presented the paper of the project they jointly carried out. The paper shared the findings of the research they conducted on access to green areas in the Kyrenia Region. It was also underlined how important it is for the public to have access to green areas within the urban fabric, especially in developing cities, in terms of the philosophy of sustainable living.
