Our former student Yağmur Aydındağ, who has graduated from Department of Landscape Architecture in 2019, made her seminar presentation “Landscape Designs in Urban and Rural Areas”  on December 11, 2023. In her seminar, Aydındağ emphasized that the use of local plants suitable for the Cyprus climate is extremely important in terms of water consumption and plant care. She conveyed the information by giving examples from the landscape design projects that she has implemented so far. Stating that built environments are rapidly increasing in our country, Aydındağ also emphasized that green areas in urban areas should be increased and that local governments should take an active role in creating urban public spaces.
