Curriculum and Collaboration Meeting Between the Landscape Architecture Department and the Chamber Representative

The Landscape Architecture Department Board held a meeting with the participation of a representative from the Chamber of Landscape Architects. Senior Landscape Architect Huriye Geceyatmaz also attended the meeting, sharing her views on the department’s academic structure and future plans. During the meeting, the current curriculum of the Landscape Architecture Department was comprehensively evaluated, and suggestions for diversifying the elective courses offered to students were discussed. Participants exchanged ideas on improving the quality of education and creating an academic structure aligned with the sector. One of the important agenda items of the meeting was planning for the 2026-2027 academic year. In this context, in line with the suggestions of the Chamber of Landscape Architects, the possibility of organizing a joint seminar on special environmental protection zones in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was discussed. Both parties expressed positive views on the seminar’s potential contributions from both academic and professional perspectives. The meeting concluded productively, strengthening cooperation between the department and the professional chamber and developing joint projects for the future.
