Prof.Dr.Nevzat Artıkk ,born in Ankara in 1955, After he  completing his primary and secondary education in this province, He get  started his undergraduate education at Ankara University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Food Science and Technology in 1972. After completing his undergraduate education in 1977, he completed his doctoral studies at the same university in 1983, and received the Monbusho scholarship given by the Japanese Government, and carried out postdoctoral research at Kyoto University "The Research Institute For Food Science", Japan, for 2 years. After his return to Turkey, he received the title of Associate Professor in 1988 and started to work as a faculty member at Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture. He served as a Visiting Professor at The Research Institute For Food Science for 1 year between 1996 and 1997. In addition to continuing this position with the title of Professor since 1994, he also continues his administrative duties in various institutions. Among these positions, Ankara University Faculty of Agriculture Revolving Fund Directorate (1996-2000), TSE Manufactured Foods Preparation Group Membership (1990-1993), TSE Manufactured Foods Preparation Group President (2005-2008), Ankara University-Kosgeb Tekmer Selection Review Board Membership ( 1995-2008), Deputy Director General of the General Directorate of Protection and Control of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (2004-2008), Member of the National Food Codex Commission (2004-2008) and Member of the Industry and Commerce Advertisement Board (2004-2008). Prof., who has represented Turkey many times in International Food Legislation and Standards studies, before the International Standards Organization (ISO) CCEURO and Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC). Dr. Nevzat ARTIK is currently the Chairman of the ISO TC 34 SC / 14 Fresh, Dried and Frozen Fruit and Vegetable Standards Commission since 2000, as well as the Chairman of the ISO TC 34 SC / 3 Processed Fruit and Vegetable Standards Commission since 2010. . Prof. also served as a representative and spokesperson in various EU Commissions on harmonization and legislation studies for Turkey's European Union membership. Dr. Nevzat ARTIK served as co-chairman of the joint project studies carried out between the EU and Turkey for this purpose. He served as a leader in the EU projects carried out by EFSA in Turkey. In addition, his current duties include the International Dairy Federation (IDF) National Committee Secretariat (2009-…). He is the scientific advisor of TOBB Beverage Council.

 

In summary, the subjects withinProf.Dr. Nevzat ARTIK's areas of expertise and training are; Fruit and Vegetable Processing Technology, Traditional Foods, Sugar and Sugar Technology, Food Chemistry, Food Biochemistry, Food Quality Control Applications, Food Safety Applications, National and International Food Legislation, Food Analysis Methods, HACCP, Functional Food, Food Safety Management Systems, Research- Ge Projects. Prof. has published many scientific articles and communications in national and international peer-reviewed journals, especially those registered with SCI. Dr. Nevzat ARTIK also has various books published in the fields of "Food Science and Technology". He has a total of 145 publications in the field of Food Science and technology. He has worked as a "Project Manager" and "Researcher" in many research projects supported by Ankara University Scientific Research Projects, TÜBİTAK and the State Planning Organization (DPT). Prof. Dr. Nevzat ARTIK is married and has a child.
